Second Sun Sanctuary

We have been conditioned and allowed ourselves to be busy, striving, consuming, active and engaged past our limits. I have felt it at points in my life, that pressure to succeed by measure of what's been precedent. In my work I can feel the exhaustion, the stress + anxiety people are carrying in their bodies, it’s not just muscle tightness. The chronic tension extends beyond physical discomfort, it shows in our relationships, our disdain for our jobs, our responsibilities, a disconnect and sometimes a dislike for our body, for this life.

This chronic tension is rooted in overstimulation.

Intentional rest takes effort + it can be just as challenging as existing in opposition to your desires. It involves letting go, reinforcing your inner knowing + not abiding to the culture of staying busy. Etching out moments to yourself. Doing things that involve you doing nothing; riding in your car to silence, not trying to turn your thoughts off by distraction- listening to yourself. Being. Not shaming yourself, embracing your present journey and knowing that your choices (even the subtle ones) hold the power to shift your life towards more peace.

As you step through the door, a sense of calm envelops you, quieting the world you left just outside. The soft, ambient music, coupled with the gentle aroma of herbal incense, creates a perfect backdrop for relaxation. In this sacred space, relaxing just happens, you may feel your thoughts lighten and the need to slow down. It's a haven where you can simply be, without any pretensions or demands.

The practitioners, providing services or facilitating workshops, have chosen a lifestyle that embraces sharing their gifts, insights, and creations. Our communal events invite you to share experiences, be immersed in a new practice, find-kinship, or foster a deeper friendship & knowing with yourself. To Be open. To Let go. To allow joy.

Whether you choose to indulge in a rejuvenating massage, third-eye massage with shirodhara oil, sip on a refreshing cold-pressed juice, hot tea or immerse your feet in a soothing soak, every offering is designed to ground you in your body, in the now, and draw you nearer to a state of ease.

The Sanctuary stands as a testament to the power of intentional spaces. It reminds us that even in the heart of a city, tranquility can thrive, offering an energy of least resistance and a catalyst for healing for all who enter.
